Here’s a list of supplies you used to need on a regular basis, but probably don’t anymore:
1) A pencil box
2) A set of crayons, the more colors you have, the cooler you are.
3) A ruler
4) A new lunchbox, metal or plastic, with designated favorite cartoon on the front.
5) Of course, it also came with a thermos – useful for a cold drink, or some hot Mac&Cheese.
6) One of those small, cube-shaped pencil sharpeners
7) A couple folders with your favorite sports team/2nd favorite TV show.
8) A package of markers. Washable of course.
Anything I missed?
White Dade says

Very, very bad.

You forgot pretractor and set square. Where do all the pretractors go when you leave school? Do you ever get the urge to whip the old pretractor out and quickly meaure an angle, no. What’s their point?
tiff says
isn’t it prOtractor? And if memory serves, I believe that protractors are used nowadays as blog subjects.
Six Years Late says
Indeed it is. Long time since I’ve spelt protractor. I fact I don’t think I’ve ever spelt protractor. Now tell me more about these blog subjects.
The Brewer Patriot says
are those the markers that smell like the color? cause those were awesome. plus, whenever people would try to smell them, you could just tap their hand real quick and they would have marker all over their nose.

Trapper Keeper with latest cartoon craze.
perfectly sharpened #2 pencils (I liked ticaragnoda… er, whatever)
And lots of single-subject notebooks in different colors.
God, I miss those notebooks, that clean white first sheet – lined in blue. No imprints from the previous page. Felt like a new start everytime. Can’t tell you how many notebooks i have where I only used the first dozen or so pages. After that, they were sullied.
Six Years Late says
Bloody hell, that’w weird. Mind you maybe you just have a mind for childhood stationery.
